1. About this policy

LeadEngine (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose personal information when you use the LeadEngine platform.

By registering for or using LeadEngine, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Who we are

LeadEngine is an Australian business providing a lead generation platform for trade service professionals (tradies). We operate at leadengine.com.au.

For privacy enquiries, contact us at: privacy@leadengine.com.au

3. Information we collect

Information you provide to us:

  • Name, business name, and email address (when you register)
  • Phone number (optional, when you provide it)
  • Trade category and service area preferences
  • Billing information (processed securely by Stripe — we do not store card details)
  • Contact notes you manually enter on a lead (stored privately, visible only to you)

Information we collect automatically:

  • Usage data (pages visited, leads viewed, actions taken)
  • Device and browser information
  • IP address

Property data we collect from public sources:

  • Property addresses from government council planning portals (public records)
  • Planning permit descriptions (public government records)
  • Property sale data from Domain.com.au (publicly listed sold properties)

We do not automatically scrape or store homeowner names, phone numbers, or email addresses.Any contact details a tradie finds and saves are stored privately to that tradie's account only.

4. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Match relevant leads to your trade and service area
  • Send you lead notifications and service updates by email
  • Process payments through Stripe

Your data is stored securely on Supabase, a cloud database provider with servers located in Australia or the United States. Supabase uses encryption at rest and in transit. Access is restricted using row-level security — each tradie can only access their own data.
